Music and Worship
There are many
different ways to worship God. We try to use the gift of
creativity that God has given us through different ways of worship.
As one of our youth put it, "God doesn't care how you
worship,
just do it!" We affirm that people come to worship as
themselves.
There is no dress code at Bethel. We hope that
everyone
will feel comfortable to be themselves in
Traditional ServiceOur traditional worship service at 9:00am
has traditional style music and structure with a lively flair.
The worship
service flows between music, prayer, scripture and meditation, as we
enter
together into God's presence. The music is led by our choir,
organist and music director. It includes singing of
traditional hymns, more contemporary contemplative songs, as well as
special music given by our adult choir and bell choirs as well as our
children's choir and bell choir.
Contemporary Service
This
is a laid-back, house church style service, starting at 11:00am. We worship with a
number of different styles and feel free to experiment. Music
draws from bluegrass, camp tunes, praise choruses, contemporary secular
music, and even reggae. Our praise band helps to lead worship
every few Sundays. This group is open to eveyone of all ages.
During the service people people are encouraged to create art
as
a form of prayer response.
